How to use the weather as mobile sales trigger?

Depending on where you are located you may have been through snow, rain, wind or sunny days lately.

Did you know that the weather changes can be a fantastic sales trigger?
Let's see how to turn the weather into sales!

Weather ads

First, you need to select an ad tech provider able to display location based ads on different ad networks and make the banners change based on the weather forecast.

Then you need to prepare different type of banners (one to display while raining, another for sunny days, one for day, night, etc. ) in order to be able to show the correct marketing message according to the viewers’ local weather.

It's possible to show winter tires ads only when it’s snowing, raincoats when it’s raining or windbreakers when it’s windy. McDonald's, for instance, could show ads for ice creams in cities with sunny weather and ads for coffee in locations with cloudy weather and low temperatures.

The weather is the 2nd biggest influence on consumer behavior behind the state of the economy.

Also, the weather has a direct effect on sales for around 30% of the products.
